Funeral services for Jennifer Fogg, 71, of Fort Thompson will be Monday January 11 ^th , 2021 at 10:30 am at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery in Fort Thompson. Due to COVID, there will be no wake services, or a meal served following the funeral services.

Jennifer R. Fogg was born November 9 ^th , 1949 to Henry and Melissa (O'Connor) Fogg of Fort Thompson. Jennifer was raised in Fort Thompson and attended grade school in Stephan.

Later, she attended Flandreau Indian Vocational School where she graduated in 1968. Jennifer enlisted in the US Army in September 1968 until November 1969, when she was honorably discharged. She then attended Mitchel Vo Tech. She returned to Fort Thompson where she explored employment opportunities at the Abernathy Store, the Crow Creek Tribe, and eventually the Bureau of Indian Affairs. She worked as a custodian on her way up to the superintendent's secretary.

Jennifer was an avid volunteer for St. Joseph's Catholic Church. She was involved in the groundbreaking and fundraising of the new church. She was involved in numerous activities and loved giving to the church and the community.

Jennifer passed away on January 5, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Chamberlain at the age of 71 years.  Jennifer is survived by her daughter Sherry Powers, her sons Joshua Taylor and Sammie Taylor, as well as her life partner of 35 years, Jody Taylor, her sisters Charlotte Fogg Berger, Betty Fogg Vieux, Arlene Fogg-Ball, Ruth Ann Fogg Bennet, and one brother Charles Fogg.

Preceding her in death are her parents Henry and Melissa (O'Connor) Fogg, her brothers Hermis Fogg, James Fogg, John Fogg, Bernard Fogg and sisters Margaret Fogg, Patricia Fogg, and Marie Fogg Mayes.
