Funeral services for Jeanette I. "Jeanie" Cummings, 68, of Pukwana, SD will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the Pukwana Lutheran Church in Pukwana, SD with burial in the Pukwana Cemetery at Pukwana, SD.  Visitation will begin one hour prior to the funeral services.

Jeanette I. "Jeanie" Cummings was born September 7, 1957 to James "Jim" and Patricia "Pat" Cummings.

Jeanie passed away surrounded by her family on November 26, 2025 at Sanford Care Center in Chamberlain.

During her life she acquired several Mickey Mouse watches and other Mickey Mouse memorabilia.  She worked at Vets Whoa-N-Go, retiring in May of 2025.

Jeanie remained in her home in Pukwana until August of 2025 when her health began to fail.  She then became a resident of Sanford Care Center in Chamberlain.

She will be missed by many including her sister Sandy (Don) Heinrich of Chamberlain and brother Dan (Karla) Cummings of Pukwana, nieces and nephews Donyelle "Dee Dee" (Mark) Petersen, J.D. (Jess) Heinrich, Bryton Cummings, Emilie Cummings, great nieces and nephews Jadon, Montana, Shay, Rylee, Teagan, Jory, McCoy, Gabel, and Rawlins, her special friends Linda Ness, Jeff and Karla Priebe, great aunt Marlys, her cat Bear, and many other friends and acquaintances.
