Funeral services for Jazz R. Traversie, 19, of Crow Creek, SD will be Friday August 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church in Crow Creek, SD with burial in St. John's Episcopal Cemetery at Crow Creek, SD.  Wake services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the community building in Crow Creek.

Jazz Raine Traversie was born January 18, 2002 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell, SD to Lori Traversie and Duane G. Grey Cloud Sr.

She attended Early Headstart and Headstart in Fort Thompson, SD then school in the Chamberlain School District in Chamberlain.  She lived her entire life in the Crow Creek District.

Jazz passed away on August 19, 2021 at Fort Thompson, SD at the age of 19 years.  Gratefully sharing her life are her mother Lori Traversie; siblings Taylor Traversie and Trent Traversie (Tia); special sisters K'Lee Wilson, Justine St John, Michael Shields, Renee Koster-Gonzales, George Grey Cloud, Monique Drapeau, Loretta, Gregory, DuWayna Grey Cloud, Hunter Grey Cloud, Ed Gonzales, Naomi Miller Grandmother Lisa Crow; Hunka Mother Cynthia Drapeau, Hunka Brothers Bryant, Destin, and Edwin; special Aunt/Godmother Mary-Ellen Coleman-Pease, Hunka family Eunice "Lori" Drapeau, Marlon "Aughtta" Sitting Crow (in spirit), Nicole, Sarah, Fayelyn F., Jeffery F. Jr., Elliot Sitting Crow;  Aunts: Monica Traversie (Shawn), Kim Wilson, Georgia Wilson (Waylon), Amber Wilson, Marcia Grey Cloud, Pam George, Uncles: Brad Wilson, Leonard Traversie Jr., Jeffery Long Crow (Paula), and Chris George; nephews; Teegan and Seattle and Niece; Aurora; and many other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her father Duane Grey Cloud Sr., twin brothers Trace and Travis; Uncle Ron Traversie; Grandparents: Sandy Collins, Clarence "YoYo" & Juanita "Buggs" Wilson, Norman V Taylor, Kenneth Taylor, Grady Collins, Lorenzo Collins; Great-grandparents Vernon G. Sr. & Velma (Santee) Collins, and her cousin Peyton Traversie.
