Jaelyn Jean Eagle Thunder

Jaelyn Jean Eagle Thunder was born March 27, 1994 to Pamela P. Flute and William S. Eagle Thunder Sr. in Pierre, SD. Her maternal grandparents Emil “Levi” Pretty Sounding Flute and Patricia Pourier. Her paternal grandparent Rachel Eagle Thunder -LaRoche and Richard “Cowboy” His Law.

She was raised in Lower Brule, SD and attended Head Start and Kindergarten in Lower Brule. She then attended first through eighth grade at St. Joseph’s Indian School and three years at Flandreau Indian School. She graduated in May of 2013 from Poplar High School in Poplar, MT.

She loved her kids dearly and they were her whole world. Her favorite thing to do was listen to music. She liked to bump her tunes real loud. She loved to hang out with her friends and have a good time. She was always making people laugh and had a heart of gold. She was always helping people in any way she could. She was the type of person that would give you the shirt off her back or her last dollar.

Jaelynn passed away on June 12, 2026 at Sioux Falls, SD. Gratefully sharing her life are her parents Pamela Flute and William S. Eagle Thunder Sr., her three children Gabriel Garfield Jr., Emelia P. Estes.
