On Monday, September 26, 2022, at the age of 86 and surrounded by family and friends, Iris Marie Harmon peacefully passed from this world into eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Iris Marie Hutmacher was born in Chamberlain, SD on April 8, 1936, to Joseph Charles and Mary Edith (Cleland) Hutmacher.  She grew up in Oacoma, SD.

On June 27, 1954, Iris married her one true love, Gene F. Harmon.  The couple were blessed with five children Steve, Louis, Mary Pat, John and Bill.

Iris enjoyed cooking large holiday meals and Sunday dinners and everyone was family at these get togethers.  She had a special knack for remembering each individuals favorite dish or dessert and would make sure to include that in any meal they attended.

Honored to have shared their lives with Iris were her husband, five children, 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.

Preceding her in death were her husband Gene F. Harmon, two sons Steve and John and one great granddaughter Hannah Elder.
