Per Helen's wish, there will be a private family burial of her ashes beside her husband in the Bohemian National Cemetery in Ola Township, SD.
Helen Katherine Oligmueller was born July 30, 1928, the third child in a family of ten, to Herman and Rose (Keock) Oligmueller at home at Miller, SD. She attended one room schools in Hand County and graduated from St. Lawrence High School in 1946. For a year, she attended Notre Dame Junior College in Mitchell, SD as a secretary and then became employed there for four years.
On May 8, 1951, Helen was united in marriage to Miroy Tarabetz at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Miller, SD. They made their home on the Tarabetz Family farm south of Pukwana, SD. To this union, two children were born, Carol and Tim.
After 60 years of marriage, Miroy passed in 2011. Helen remained on the farm until becoming a resident of Regency Retirement Assisted Living in Chamberlain and later at Prairie View Assisted Living in Kimball, SD.
Helen was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Chamberlain, SD.
Helen passed away on January 30, 2025 at Sanford Medical Center in Chamberlain at the age of 96 years. Gratefully sharing her life are her children Carol (Roger) Randall and Tim (Suzanne) Tarabetz, four grandchildren Bart (MaKaela) Randall, Ryan (McKenzie) Randall, Derek Tarabetz, and Sierra (Chance) Kiehn, great grandchildren Emberly, Ella, Amelia, Charles, Raya, Rustin, and Taylynn Randall, sister Joyce (Pete) Royal, two brothers Fred and Duane Oligmueller, sister-in-law Helen Oligmueller, and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Miroy, three brothers Herman Oligmueller Jr., Jerome (Sharon), William (Audrey), three sisters Mary (Ben) Scheier, Donna (Lee) Grossman, Rosemary (Marvin) Augspurger and sister-in-law Bev Oligmueller.
