Glenda "Bones" Bunnell Braun, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Wednesday morning, February 26, 2025.

Glenda was born October 22, 1950 at Chamberlain, SD to Gene and Irene (Harmon) Bunnell.  She was raised and attended school in Chamberlain and graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1968. After graduation she worked as a CNA at the Chamberlain hospital where she met her future husband, Bob.

On October 21, 1972, Glenda was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Braun at the First Baptist Church in Chamberlain. In 1974 they welcomed their first child Brenda and then moved to Council Bluffs, IA in 1976.  Then in 1977 they welcomed their first son Robert "Bobby", in 1979 they added their second daughter Brandee. Finally their family was complete with the birth of their son Beau in 1981.

After six years in Iowa, they made their forever home in Chamberlain. Glenda loved her children, once all were in school, she started working at Skogmos and upon its closure she worked and then later retired from St. Joseph's Indian School.

Glenda loved sewing and was a very talented seamstress. She loved her family and friends; a perfect day for her was staying at home and just enjoying life with her husband, children and grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory include her siblings, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, friends and her children: Brenda Braun of Pocahontas, IA; Bob (Sara) Braun of Kimball, SD; Brandee (Garrett) George of Pukwana, SD; and Beau Braun of Chamberlain, SD.  Grandchildren: Emmalee George, Josee Slama, Ryder Braun, Gus Slama, Frankee George, Rowdy George, Gavin Braun, Grady George, Addison Braun and Zander Braun.  Also left behind to miss and love Glenda is her little pup "Ella".

She was preceded in death by her husband Bob, her parents: Gene and Irene, parents-in-law: Gus and Emma; brothers-in-law: Donnie Meagher, Jerry Luby, Larry Crouse, Lee Walker, Donald Braun, George Braun; Sisters-in-law: Helen Heyer, Averell Braun and Ruth Walker.

Private family burial of the ashes will be at a later date at the Riverview Cemetery at Chamberlain.
