Georgia Lynn Steinfeld was born April 15, 1952 in Murdo, SD to Lyle and Evelynn (Bruce) Steinfeld.

On June 8, 1969 Georgia was united in marriage to Randall Simpson.  To this marriage five children were born, Rochelle (Hopkins), Renae (Orth), Ron (Simpson), Mandy (Unger), and Cary (Dunn).

Randall and Georgia made their home in Oacoma, SD.  Her hobbies were sewing, gardening, and doing anything with or for her grandkids.  Georgia was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.  She was also the matriarch of a long line of children and grandchildren who share her stubborn attitude, strong work ethic, and determination.  Georgia spent most of her life managing hotels, produce, or kids.

Georgia passed away at home surrounded by her family on July 29, 2020 after a two-year battle with cancer.  Grateful to have shared her life are her husband Randy, her children, her children-in-law - Suzanne (McKenna), Todd (Orth), Charles (Hopkins), Nate (Unger), and Paul (Dunn), ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents Lyle and Evelynn Steinfeld and her brother John Steinfeld.

Georgia requested a celebration of life at a later date.  In lieu of flowers or gifts the family kindly asks that you donate to the American Cancer society.
