Funeral services for Gary Dean Fischer, 62, of Ft. Thompson, SD will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Diamond Willow Ministries in Fort Thompson with burial in the St. John's Baptist Episcopal Cemetery at Crow Creek, SD. Wake services will be 7:00 p.m., Monday, at Diamond Willow Ministries Fort Thompson, SD.
Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave at 3:30 p.m. on Monday from the funeral home.
Gary Dean Fischer was born August 20, 1962, to Robert Colombe Sr. and Barbara Sally Rouse. Gary was raised by his Grandma Mary Crow Colombe in the Crow Creek District of the Hunkpati Nation.
Gary Dean attended Elementary School through High School at Crow Creek, he was a Panther and a Chieftain.
Gary Dean lived in various places all over the United States. One of the locations was Seattle Washington where he worked at the Chief Seattle Club. Another location was Denver Colorado, and he worked at the Denver Bronco Stadium, he was so happy he had the opportunity to meet the Denver Broncos team. Gary Dean also worked at Shelby's Store and the C-Store and took pride in his work.
Gary had so many adventures and always had an exciting story to share. Always had a smile and laugh of the many adventures he experienced.
Gary loved all his friends and relatives.
Gary Dean returned home back to Fort Thompson and the Crow Creek areas where he spent his time with all his family and friends. He is and was loved by everyone.
Gary Dean is survived by his siblings Priscilla Colombe (Crow Creek, SD), Eric Colombe (Denver, CO), Colin Colombe (Lower Brule, SD), Roberta Colombe (Rapid City, SD) and Jenny Colombe (Fort Thompson, SD).
Gary Dean is preceded by his father Robert Colombe Sr., brother Robert Colombe Jr., his grandmother Mary Crow Colombe, his paternal grandfather Leonard Pease Sr., and his biological mother Barbara Sally Rouse.
