Garret Jon Gilbertson Sr. passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 21, 2022.

Garret was born in Pierre, SD to Gary Gilbertson of Onida, SD and Michelle Biegler of Steele, ND.  Garret was raised in the Onida and Pierre area.  He worked construction and absolutely enjoyed working with his hands.  If there wasn't a tool around that fit, then he just didn't need it.

Garret was brilliant and lively and his favorite joy in life was making people laugh.  He was an amazing father to his sons, loving husband to his wife Brittany, and world's best brother to so many people.

Garret is survived by his wife Brittany, his sons Teegan, Garret Jr., Garrison, and unborn son Grant; his father Gary Gilbertson, mother Michelle (Matthew) Biegler, sister Miranda (Anthonie) Iwan and their children, his Grandma Joddie Samuelson, his Grandpa Bruce Carpenter, his in-laws Joe and Michelle Soulek, his uncle Marcus Herald and family, and many more aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents.
