Funeral services for Gabrielle V. Lynch, 24, of Chamberlain, SD will be 10:30 am Thursday, June 13, 2019 at the River Hills Fellowship in Chamberlain.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 Thursday at River Hills Fellowship in Chamberlain.

Gabrielle Vanessa Lynch entered this world at 11:39 pm, October 25, 1994, to Kimberly and Kevin Lynch in Indianapolis, Indiana. Gabrielle was 6 years old when the family moved to Chamberlain, South Dakota, where she grew up and graduated from Chamberlain High School in May of 2013.

As a child, she was quiet, shy and didn't like talking to strangers which was ironic because everyone called her "Gabby" and she wasn't! She had a childlike way about her, but when she needed to be an adult, she was. She liked fishing, camping, bowling and traveling but most of all she loved being with her family, and spending time with them, especially her mom, and going everywhere to watch her family participate in swim meets, bowling tournaments, wrestling meets, soccer and basketball games...she love being with her family! She was the first person to hold her little sister, Chloe, and Kim would always tease her about having those first 'bonding' moments...  She always wanted to be the first to hold the newborn nieces and nephews! She enjoyed seeing her friends at work, talking and joking and making them laugh. In essence, Gabby loved life and being a part of the lives around her, enjoying every moment she could and sharing her joy with others.

In April of 2014, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL). After a month of chemo, her cancer went into remission for almost 2 years. In December of 2017, however, she began to notice some problems with her eye and in March of 2018, she began another round of chemo and eventually a stem cell transplant in September, 2018, but by March of 2019, the cancer was back. She began another treatment on June 3, 2019, a T-cell transplant. Gabby and her mom had already decided that this would be the last try because Gabby hated being in the hospital, missing out on life, being with her family and friends. She wanted to travel, have experiences and see new places...

But on June 9th, 2019, she lost her battle with cancer.

Gabrielle was the best person to know and those who knew her were blesssed. She will be missed by many family members and friends; She is survived by her mother and father, Kim and Kevin Lynch of Chamberlain: her siblings, Matthew Lynch (Tay), Christopher Lynch (Allison), Angela Lynch, and Chloe Lynch; aunts and uncles, Jennifer Kanz, Erika Kissling, Michelle Collins, Judy Quackenbush, Paul Lynch; maternal grandparents, Marjorie Heine (Bill), Paul Kissing (Vennia); 10 cousins, 3 nieces, and 5 nephews. She was preceeded in death by paternal grandparents, Betty and Paul Lynch.
