Funeral services for Esther M. Brown, 64, of Sioux Falls will be 10:00 am Friday, January 11, 2019 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson with burial in the Lakeview Cemetery at Fort Thompson, SD.  Wake services will be Wednesday and Thursday evening at 7:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, SD.

Esther Marie Ross Brown was born March 3, 1954 to Cecelia Ross and William White Light.  She attended elementary school in Pierre and then Crow Creek High School at Stephan, SD.  She attended Job Corps in Albuquerque, NM where she earned her GED.  After job corps, she returned to Pierre and began working at Holiday Inn.   She moved to Haywarden, IA and attended college for two years before returning to South Dakota where she lived in Pierre and later Aberdeen.  She lived with her sister in Aberdeen until the 1980's when she relocated to Sioux Falls.  She worked at the Cloud 9 Motel and other places in the Sioux Falls area.  She met her husband Michael Brown of Chicago and they made their home in Sioux Falls, SD where she lived until the time of her death.

She enjoyed hanging out with her friends and family and she loved playing bingo.

Esther passed away on January 5, 2019 at her home in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 64 years.  Gratefully sharing her life is her brother Thurlough Ross of Pierre; her children Misty, Dylan, Heather, Buddy, Douglas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters Althea, Amy Marie, Irene; and several half brothers and sisters.
