Hawk, 47, of Lower Brule, SD will be 1:00 pm Friday, October 11, 2019 at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule with burial in the Holy Comforter Episcopal Cemetery at Lower Brule, SD.  Wake services will be Wednesday and Thursday evening at 7:00 pm at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule.

Errol Wayne Hawk was born April 15, 1972 at Wessington Springs, SD to Earlwyn Moses Hawk Sr. and Agnes Norah Grassrope.  He lived his life in Lower Brule, SD where he graduated from Lower Brule High School in May of 1990 as valedictorian.  Shortly after, he enlisted in the Army.  He served 4 years in which he was deployed to Iraq for Operation Desert Shield that soon became Operation Desert Storm where he engaged in combat.  In 1994, Errol was Honorably Discharged.

He returned back home to work at various jobs in Construction, Wildlife, Headstart, The Boy's and Girl's Club, and St. Mary's Catholic Church as grounds keeper.

Son was a loving father who raised two of his children alone.

Son loved participating in intramural sports, such as basketball, softball, volleyball, and bowling.

Errol passed away on October 6, 2019 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 47 years.  Having the joy of sharing his life are his son Errol "Boy/Punk" Hawk and his daughter Marina "Tiinsz" Hawk.  He is also survived by another daugher Erica Hawk, his siblings Earl "Tuffy" Hawk, Cherilyn "Sis" Hawk, Francine "Babes" Stricker, Lisa Grassrope, Danielle Provencial, Bradley Hawk, Angelia Hawk, Kyle Hawk Allen Hawk, Keith Hawk, Evan Hawk, and Waylon Grassrope; his aunts Delight "Lou" Whitelight, Diane Grassrope, Marlita "Gooch" Grassrope, and Rozelle (Hawk) Lockwood; uncles Melvin Hawk, Alvin Grassrope, Lindy "Guy" Grassrope, Darren Grassrope; lifelong friend Melray Grey Owl; and his many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his mother Aggie, father Earl, uncles Eltwin and Elvis, brothers Francis Stricker Jr., and Austin Hawk, and nephew Chris.
