Funeral services for Enola G. Sazue, 58, of Fort Thompson, SD will be 10:00 am Monday, December 6, 2021 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, SD with burial in the Conkicaska Presbyterian Cemetery at Fort Thompson, SD.  Wake services will be Sunday at 7:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, SD.

Enola Gaye Big Eagle was born on November 13, 1963 to Anna Mae Metcalf and Orlando Big Eagle in Chamberlain, SD. Enola passed away on November 26, 2021 at Sanford Medical Center in Chamberlain at the age of 58 years.

Enola lived on the Crow Creek Reservation in Fort Thompson most of her life.  She lived in Chicago, IL with her father Orlando and stepmother Irene.  Enola attended school in Fort Thompson and Stephan, SD.

Enola worked various jobs in Fort Thompson including the Lode Star Casino and Catholic Recreation Center.  She was well known for her work with the Buffalo County Election Committee.

Enola was united in marriage to Tracy Sazue in Chamberlain, SD and to this union a daughter Angelia Marie was born on September 2, 1990 and gained her Heavenly Wings shortly after birth.

Enola had a big role in her family.  She was known for taking care of all the children, raising her brothers and sisters, and her nieces and nephews.  Enola's greatest role was the hand she had in raising her grandchildren and the time spent with each one of them.

Enola is survived by her husband Tracy; Special friend Ronald Drapeau Jr.; sisters Kim Bearface, Lynn McBride, Leatha Loudner; brothers Tristan Moses Big Eagle and Lester McBride; and many other family and friends.

Enola was preceded in death by her parents Orlando Big Eagle Sr., Anna Mae Metcalf/Fleury, her daughter Angelia Marie, her sister Collette, brother Orlando Jr., grandparents Ted Metcalf, Elsie Wounded Knee, Cecelia Medicine Cedar, and a special cousin Corey Big Eagle.
