Visitation services for Elizabeth Rose "Beth" Koster, 77, of Fort Thompson, SD will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Monday, September 30, 2024 at Diamond Willow Ministries in Fort Thompson, SD.  Burial will be at a later date.

Elizabeth Rose "Beth" Koster was born June 4, 1947 to Rosie and Emerald "Bud" Koster in Chamberlain, SD.

Beth passed away on September 23, 2024 at Sanford Medical Center in Chamberlain, SD at the age of 77.

The family lived in Mitchell for a short time and told stories of attending school there.  Beth's parents had a café on the north end of Main Street in Chamberlain called Rose-Bud.  The café burned down so they reopened one in Reliance.  Beth worked in all of them and continued after her marriage.  Her children also helped grandpa and grandma at the café.

On April 30, 1964, Beth was united in marriage to Dallas Smith.  To this union, three children were born Rose in 1964, Larry in 1966, and David in 1971.

Beth lived in several towns over the years including Mitchell, Reliance, and then in Chamberlain before finally residing in Fort Thompson.

Beth was an Avon Representative for many years in South Dakota and California.

Beth is survived by her children Rose and husband Ron Wingert of Reliance, SD, Larry and Penni Smith of Sioux Falls, SD, David Smith of Fort Thompson, SD, and Evelyn Bagola of Reliance, SD, her grandchildren Stacey, Kurtis, Inez and Taleyna Wingert, Terri Cedarface, Michael D. Smith, Matthew Smith, and Tasha Smith; great grandchildren Kristin, Jadon, Ember, Jackson, Haydence, Kinsley, Makenzie, Chris, Destinee, Legend, Lucius; a great great grandchild Andreas Wallace; and many other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death were her grandparents, her parents, three grandchildren Jesse, Theresa, and Lynnet Feather, and many other relatives.
