Memorial services for Edith (Thigh) Tentinger, 70, of Rapid City will be from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church Hall in Lower Brule, SD with burial of the ashes in the Holy Comforter Episcopal Cemetery at Lower Brule, SD.

Edith (Thigh) Tentinger passed away on August 27, 2023 at the age of 70 after a short battle with cancer, "Edie" was a very unique woman with a fun-loving personality. She was a member of the Rosebud Tribe and grew up in the Lower Brule and Chamberlain area.  She came from a large family including many cousins, aunts, uncles and loved ones. She was the daughter of Sam Thigh Sr. and his wife Nellie (Thomas) Thigh.  Her siblings included 3 brothers, Russel, Wally, and Sam Jr. and sister, Mercy. Edie had 2 sons, Marvin and Jason Thigh. She eventually married the love of her life, Danny Tentinger.

During her younger years, she traveled across the country, stepping foot in "most" states according to her stories.  She told many tales of her adventures and enjoyed entertaining people with her stories.

She settled in Pierre and recently moved to Rapid City, living with her son, Jason Thigh.  She enjoyed puzzles, word games, and attended a home Bible Study.  She brought joy and entertainment to many who got acquainted with her.  She was an "overcomer" in many ways and was baptized as an adult. She professed her faith in the Lord Jesus, her Savior, and now rests in His everlasting loving arms!
