Funeral services for Dolly M. Estes-Wells, 67, of Fort Thompson, SD will be 11:00 a.m.,  Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church at Lower Brule, SD with burial in the Holy Comforter Episcopal Cemetery at Lower Brule, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Lower Brule, SD.

Dolly Mae Estes was born in Chamberlain, South Dakota on June 9th, 1957. Her family lived in Crow Creek while she was young. From Crow Creek they moved back to Lower Brule until she was in first grade, after which they moved to Fort Hall, Idaho. After she completed the sixth grade the family decided to move back to South Dakota, moving to Wanblee for a year. They later moved to McLaughlin for a year and then moved back to Fort Thompson, and later finally to Lower Brule.

Dolly has seven children, Sheila, Joe, Luke, Sarah, Tim, April, and Daniel. She has 23 grandchildren, whom she loved very dearly. A very Special Friend Douglas Rencountre. Dolly was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ramona, brothers Duke, Troy and Mark, Sister Ruby, granddaughter Heaven and one son, Freeman James.
