Delilia (Dee) May Westre was born July 28, 1928 in Pukwana, SD (Brule County) to John and Goldie (LaVoy) Picek.  Riding her horse to school she attended Olson County School with her two brothers; Donald and Dean Picek  and cousins.  The family then moved to Chamberlain, SD around 1937.

On July 27, 1945 a double wedding took place uniting Edward Elmer with Delilia.  To this union were two sons; Jack Carl Westre and Gerald Lee Westre whom she loved very much.

Unexpectedly, Dee moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1951 to pursue medical treatment for their oldest son Jack who contracted Polio.  After taking care of things in Chamberlain, SD and earning money for the move Edward and Gerald joined them.

Dee always supported her boys in theirs endeavors taking pride in what they accomplished from purchasing a car to day-to-day work.

After Ed's passing Dee met Jim Kramer who became a lifelong companion. Together they enjoyed fishing and gardening.  Their home was always open to friends and family, especially those who shared their love of fishing.

Dee was a hard worker, taking pride in a job done well receiving recognition wherever she worked.  Retiring, she built a house and moved back to Chamberlain, SD in 1987.  In her retirement she continued to work various jobs into her 80's.

Dee passed away on November 4, 2022 in her sleep after a long full life of 94 years. She out lived many of her family members caring for them until their passing.

The family would like to thank Chris Fees for her kindness, care and for checking in on Dee especially the last few months before she passed.

Delila leaves behind Jim Kramer who passed away a week later,  her beloved sons Jack Carl Westre (Missoula, MT) and Gerald Lee (Veronica) Westre (Laguna Woods, CA); grandkids Troy (Candy) Westre (Lincoln, MT), Angie Westre (Orange County, CA), Dawn (Eddy) Kanduch (Miles City, MT), and Eddie Westre (Orange County, CA); great grandkids; Zachary (Mariah) Westre, Shea Westre, Julian Westre, Jonathan Westre, Jude Westre,  Jasmine Kanduch, Jordan Kanduch, Jersey Kanduch, Jillian Kanduch, and Julisse Kanduch; great grandkids; Trace Westre, Jonah Westre.
