Deborah (Olson) Swenson

April 9, 1966-June 1, 2021

Deborah Swenson, 55, of Mitchell passed away on June 1, 2021 at Avera Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

A small graveside service and burial will be held at the Union Cemetery at Bijou Hills, SD.

Deborah Olson was born April 9, 1966 and adopted by Ray and Linda (Housley) Olson and spent her early years in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  The family returned to Chamberlain and lived near the Bijou Hills.

She had three children and later married Kevin Swenson.  They lived in Kansas for a number of years.

Deborah had a passion for helping others.  She spent a great deal of time helping those in need in her community.  She helped the young and elderly alike providing care with all aspects of their lives.  Deborah also enjoyed times spent with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.  This time was cherished and meant the world to her.

Gratefully sharing her life is son James (Meisha) Roth of Sioux Falls, daughter April Roth of Parker, SD, brother David (Sharmel) Olson of Chamberlain, SD; and aunt Lyla Adams of Moorcroft, WY; five grandchildren: Tamzin Roth, Tenley Roth, Lydell Roth, Jude Roth and Thackery Roth; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were her parents; Ray Olson and Linda Priebe, son Patrick Roth, and brother Steven Olson.
