Funeral services for Dawn L. Drappeaux, 50, of Fort Thompson will be 10:30 am Saturday, November 24, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson.  Burial of the ashes at a later date in Greenwood Presbyterian Cemetery at Greenwood, SD. Wake services will be Friday at 7:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson.

Dawn Louise Drappeaux was born December 6, 1967 in Orange County, CA to Yvonne "Bonnie" Rose and Marvin Vincent Drappeaux, Sr.

Dawn graduated from Marty Indian School and then attended Mitchell Technical Institute where she graduated in 1987 with an associate degree in business.  She moved back and forth from Utah to South Dakota throughout her life.  She enjoyed going to BINGO, socializing at the casino, and spending all her free time with her grandkids.

Dawn entered the Spirit World on November 19, 2018 at Ava's Hospice House in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 50.  Gratefully sharing her life are her children Bobbie Lee, Yolanda Marie, Javier Medina, and DiAnna Karina; nieces Sunny Rose, Tessa and Maria Cruz; nephews Charles Dean and Martin Juan; and grandchildren JaLynn Dawn, Evon James, Atahnn RaeLynn, Elissa Rose, Laleeyah Lita, Thia-Ann, Tacea Grace, Asanti James, Zoe Marie, Janiyah Janet, Myles Juan, Janay Rose, Mya LeAnn, Drea LaRae, Myrrick David, Devonte James, and Kyle Jr.; and her favorite aunties Marlene Drappeaux and Darlene "Blondie" Williamson.

Preceding her in death were by her parents Bonnie Rose and Marvin Drappeaux, Sr.; brothers Cleveland, Frank, and Marvin Jr.; sisters Verlinda, Francine, and Mariann Drappeaux; and grandparents Cleveland and Ethel Fallis, Frank and Louise Drappeaux and Alvin and Diane Fallis.

She is loved and will be missed by all!
