Funeral services Darla L. Langdeaux, 67, of Lower Brule, SD will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 16, 2024 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lower Brule, SD with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Lower Brule, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m., Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lower Brule, SD.

Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday from the funeral home.

Darla Lynn Langdeaux was born August 23, 1957 to Orville Langdeau Sr. and Velma Augustine in Chamberlain, SD.

Darla's Lakota name was Wicahpi Oti Win (Star Lodge Woman) and was fondly known by her older relatives as "Doll".

She grew up in Fort Pierre playing in the hills.  She attended school and graduated from Lower Brule High School in 1979.  She then worked as a secretary, at the Golden Buffalo Casino, at the elementary school as a detention officer and later the director of the daycare.

Darla would go to the ends of the earth for her kids.

Darla passed away December 8, 2024 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 67 years.  Gratefully sharing her life are her children Beth (Waylon) Grassrope, Gregory LaRoche Jr., Royce LaRoche, Ravyn (Kyle) Fonder, and Ramsey; her grandchildren Blu, Faith Black Cloud, Diesel, Kyle Jr., Isabella, Ryan, Elisabeth, Kyraya, Matthew, Elijah, Zachariah, Hunter, Jiryah; her nieces and nephews Tiauna (Scott) Obago, Liana (Bill) Fitch, Derek Whitcomb, Mark (Bruni) Whitcomb, Chad (Diana) Whitcomb, Steven (Coral) Langdeau Jr., Reese Jolley, and Caleb (Kiya) Langdeau; siblings Loye (Ron) Whitcomb, Orville (Mark) Langdeau Jr., Stuart (Lenora) Langdeau, Joseph Langdeau, and Steven (Terri) Langdeau Sr.

She joins in Heaven her parents Orville Langdeau Sr. and Velma Langdeau, her beloved oldest son Ryan, her sister Diana, and Greg Sr.
