Funeral services for Daniel K. "Dan" Hrdlicka, 51, of Chamberlain, SD will be 10:30 am Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain with burial in St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery at Geddes, SD.  Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm with family present from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain.

Dan K. Hrdlicka, 51, of Chamberlain, SD passed away on October 1, 2018 at Dunklau Gardens Nursing Home in Fremont, NE.

Daniel Keith Hrdlicka was born December 28, 1966 at Wagner, SD to Bobby Keith and Pauline A. (Wojciechowski) Hrdlicka.  Around 1968, the family moved to Chamberlain where he attended school.  Dan began working at Ron's Service in Chamberlain.  He also worked on a paper route, then at the Chamberlain Register, and later the Dairy Queen.  Dan farmed on his farm which was something he really enjoyed.  Because of his love of loud music, Dan began his own business "Dan's Sound System".

Dan enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making deer chili and jerky.  He liked his animals including dogs and cats and the farm life.  He also enjoyed watching Pro Wrestling and the Oakland Raiders.  The greatest joys in his life are his daughters and especially his grandchildren.

Gratefully sharing his life are his two daughters Shawna (Daniel) White of Fremont, NE and Danielle (Andrew) Dixson of Chamberlain, SD; five grandchildren; a brother David (Dori Rogers) Hrdlicka; two sisters Stacy (Brad) Irwin of Lake Andes, SD and April Hrdlicka of ND; his father Bobby K. Hrdlicka of Lake Andes, SD; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Preceding him in death were his mother Pauline Hrdlicka, grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles.
