Funeral services for Corey Alan Micheal Thompson, 22, of Pierre, SD will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 26, 2025 at the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Lower Brule, SD with burial in the Holy Comforter Episcopal Cemetery at Lower Brule, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Holy Comforter Episcopal Church in Lower Brule, SD.

Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave from funeral home on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m.

Corey Alan Micheal Thompson was born to Sarah (Wells) Tauck and Walker Thompson on October 21st, 2002. He resided in Pierre, SD with his significant other Chelsey Sandoval and their sons Jesiah and Mateo. Corey loved fishing and the 49ers, but his favorite was fishing in the dark with his sisters. Ultimately, his passion was boxing starting in middle school, always sparing with his boys and brother Kingston, and you did not want to catch a fist while he was shadow boxing anywhere he could. Corey was a hard worker, finding work with construction, mechanic work, building decks in CO, and FedEx. With a heart of gold for not only providing for his boys, but also helping his cousins when he could. We will all be missing his talents in the kitchen, a few of his specialties were Ribs, Birria Tacos, Smashburger and Wings with his secret sauces.

Corey left behind his sons; Chelsey; his mother Sarah and step-father Chris; his father Walker Thompson; great grandmother Estelle Goings; his sisters Kaitlyn and Kaiya; brothers Kingston and Tylan; his aunts and uncles; his many cousins; and his in-laws Michelle, Robert, Cloey, Christian, Krystal, Mahpiyah, and Athena.

Awaiting an eternal reunion was his son Lux; maternal grandparents Wally Wells and Dolly Mae; Aunt Paula; Cousins Heaven and Miami and beloved dogs Gizmo and Chivo.
