Funeral services for Cherilyn "Sis" J. Hawk, of Sioux Falls, SD, will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule, SD with burial in the Holy Comforter Episcopal Cemetery at Lower Brule, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 pm., Tuesday and Wednesday at Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule, SD.

Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 3:00.

Cherilyn Jeann Hawk was born in Chamberlain, South Dakota to Earlwyn Moses Hawk, Sr. and Agnes Norah Grassrope, mother of six children, Derrick F., Tiffany F., David Jr. F, Errol F., Braydon, and Avery G. F.

She was fun loving, had a great sense of humor, athletic, always willing to take care of others, and took on anything that was a challenge to her.

She attended school at Marty Indian School and also Lower Brule, SD.  For Lower Brule she worked for Lower Brule Rural Water, Lower Brule Headstart and various other jobs.

Proceeding her in death are her father Earlwyn Moses Hawk, her mother Agnes Norah Grassrope, brothers Francis Jr. and Errol Hawk and niece Kelsey Grassrope.
