Funeral services for Catherine "Kathy" Hawk, 62, of Crow Creek will be 10:00 am Thursday, April 5, 2018 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson with burial in St. Catherine's Catholic Cemetery at West Bend, SD.  Wake services will be Tuesday and Wednesday evening at 8:00 pm at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson.

Catherine Marie "Kathy" Hawk passed away on March 30, 2018 at home in Crow Creek, SD at the age of 62 years.

Catherine Marie "Kathy" St. John was born on October 24, 1955 in Pierre, SD to Rudolph St. John and Elizabeth His Chase.

Kathy enjoyed cooking, spending time with family, music,, and of course dancing. She especially enjoyed looking over and spending time with her granddaughter Liberty His Law.  She was the mother of six children: Myron Sitting Crow, Marlon Sitting Crow, Loretta Sitting Crow, Michael Hawk, Fae (Johnson) Hawk, and Jasmine Hawk.

She is one of five siblings: Mary Lou St. John, Lawrence St. John, Barbara St. John-Blaine, Michael St. John, Wanda St. John, Sharon St. John, and Donovan Bendikson.

Kathy is survived by her husband Maynard Hawk, six children Myron Sitting Crow, Marlon Sitting Crow, Loretta Sitting Crow, Michael Hawk, Fae (Johnson) Hawk, and Jasmine Hawk; sisters Barbara and Nelson Blaine, Wanda St. John, and Sharon St. John; brother Donovan Bendikson; and many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Lawrence and Michael St. John, her sister Mary Lou St. John, a grandson Noah Sitting Crow, her nieces Suzanne and Serena Blaine and Priscilla St. John, and her first husband Victor Sitting Crow.
