Funeral services for Carrie Frances Middletent, 55, of Lower Brule will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, September 13, 2021 at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule, SD. Burial will follow at the Cedar Creek Cemetery in Cedar Creek, SD. Wake services will be 7:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, September 11 and 12, 2021 at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule, SD.

Carrie Frances Middletent was born on May 29, 1966 to Marilyn E. Goodlow and Adrian F. Middletent in Chamberlain, SD. Carrie attended school at Lower Brule Elementary and graduated from Lower Brule, SD. Then, she had her oldest son, Adrian J. Ziegler.

She attended Kicking Horse Job Corp in Montana. Here she met Tom LaForge. Together they had three kids Shylo, Boyer "Sugar" Jr., and Heather LaForge.

She had numerous jobs as they traveled a lot. In her later years, she became a full time grandma helping raise many grandkids

Carrie passed away on September 7, 2021 at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 55. Carrie is survived by her four children Adrian, Shylo, Boyer, and Heather; her grandchildren Andre' Grassrope, Trey LaForge, Gabe Ziegler, Lakota Ziegler, Bradley LaForge, Tylee LaRoche, Adriana Ziegler, Lexee LaForge, Bailey LaForge, Marley LaForge Skunk, Alexis Ziegler, Baby Adrian, Paizley LaForge, Amira Skunk, Alec Ziegler, Abel Ziegler, Braya LaForge; Godson Benjamin Long Crow; brother Blair Middletent; sisters Lisa Goodlow, Melanie Star, Stephanie Langdeau, and Kristin Middletent.

Preceding her in death are her parents Marilyn Goodlow and Adrian Middletent; brothers Curtis Middletent and Kim Goodlow; sisters Lorenda Middletent and aunts, uncles, and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
