Funeral services for Brenda J. Dion, 72, of Fort Thompson, SD will be 1:00 pm Thursday, December 3, 2020 at St. John's Episcopal Cemetery at Crow Creek, SD.

Brenda was born February 3, 1948 in Gann Valley, SD to Leonard and Winifred (Ashley) Pease Sr. and her biological father Verdale Veo.

Brenda was the oldest of twelve children.

Brenda worked various jobs but spent thirty six years working for BIA as a property and supply clerk and then as a law enforcement dispatcher supervisor retiring in 2018.

On February 14, 1999, Brenda was united in marriage to Douglas Dion, the love of her life.

Her hobbies were watching her husband throw darts.  She loved reading, doing crossword puzzles, cruising and baking.

Brenda passes away on November 28, 2020 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 72 years.  Gratefully sharing her life is her husband Douglas Dion of Fort Thompson; son Gilbert (Mary Ellen) Pease of Kingsman, AZ and daughter Shauna Dion and grandchildren of Sioux Falls, SD; sisters Lana (Richard) Steele of Crow Creek, SD, and Kate Ratliff of Port Wentworth, GA; brothers Chad Pease of Crow Creek, SD, and Robert Colombe of Pukwana, SD; and too many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to mention.

Preceding her in death were her parents Leonard and Winifred Pease Sr., her biological father Verdale Veo, three brothers Leonard Jr., Richard and Wallace Sr.; sisters Sharon Hawk, Elizabeth, Dianna, Donna, Delores, and Janet Pease; nephews Austin Hawk Sr., and Jordan "Turtle" Steele, and grandson Chris Lee "the hellraiser".
