Funeral services for Brandon B. Grey Owl, 68, of Fort Thompson, SD will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 28, 2024 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, SD with burial in the Lakeview Cemetery at Fort Thompson, SD.  Wake services will be 7:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fort Thompson, SD.

Anyone wishing to follow, the procession will leave at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday from the funeral home.

Brandon Burdette Grey Owl was born on June 29,1956 to Kenneth N. and Evelyn L. (Black Owl) Grey Owl.  Brandon was called home to begin his journey on September 20, 2024.  Brandon attended grade school in Ft Thompson, SD and high school at Stephan, SD

In 1972 he joined the U.S.M.C. where he received his GED.  In 1974 he was discharged and married Janet Michalek.  From this union Brandon had Melray and Nicole Grey Owl.  He later met Vicki Isburg and on March 17, 1983 they married.  From this union he had Ralph Lawrence who passed away at birth and Lynda Jean Grey Owl.  In February 1989 he married Christy Schock, out of this union he had two daughters, Stephanie and Desiree.  He met Priscilla Grassrope, and they were married on February 18, 1994.  Brandon and Priscilla remain married to this day.  From this union his last daughter Brett was born.  Brandon found his calling by being of service to both Crow Creek and Lower Brule Sioux Tribe.  First as a police officer and then as an EMT.  He remained an EMT up until he got sick and then later was hospitalized.

Thankful for sharing his life are his wife Priscilla, daughter Brett Grey Owl, {Daynow Whitelight} of Ft Thompson, SD, son Melray Grey Owl, daughter Nicole Grey Owl of Lower Brule, SD, Daughters Stephanie Doner of Aberdeen, SD and Desiree Holler of Aberdeen, SD, Grandchildren, Amanda, Jesse, Cody, Kyren, Betty Jo, Shane, Caden, Everett, Conner, Peyton, Dylan, Oliver, Ezra, Kayson, Jayden, and Nora.

Brandon was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth N and Evelyn L (Black Owl) Grey Owl.  A very special grandmother Valentine Black Owl.  Two brothers Lyndon and Gordon (Gordy) Grey Owl, a son Ralph Lawrence and daughter Lynda Jean Grey Owl and grandson Robert Lee.
