William "Bill" Dennis Brown passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at his home in Chamberlain, SD at the age of 73.

Bill was born in Chamberlain, SD on April 11, 1950, to Merle "Faye" Brown and Bernice Brevik Brown. Bill grew up around the Chamberlain area and graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1968. After graduation, he helped his father manage the Texaco Gas Station, eventually taking over ownership. The gas station was later sold in 1986.

He was united in marriage to Gwendy Knutson on February 12, 1972, and to this union two children were born, William "Billy" Faye Brown and Bobbette "Bobbi" Renee Brown. Eventually, Bill and Gwendy divorced but always remained friends.

After the sale of the gas station, Bill worked for Hieb's Main Standard Station and I90 Standard Station. Then spent 15 years traveling to Platte working for Dakota Manufacturing. Bill retired in 2016.

Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed teaching his son and daughter to hunt and fish. He enjoyed several hunting trips with his son and grandson. Bill loved his grandchildren and was so proud whenever he had the chance to give them a ride on his Harley.

Bill recently became a great grandfather to Henry David Albin Brown, now 1 ½ years old and Parker Rose Koster, now one week old.

Gratefully sharing his life are his son Bill (Tami) Brown; 8 grandchildren, Katie, Jackie, Jaylen, Harley, Allayna, Mike, Chris, and Sami; 2 great grandchildren, Henry and Parker; his sister Marlene (John) Forester; and 2 nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, daughter Bobbette "Bobbi" Renee, and nephew Douglas "Doug" Denver.
