Beverly Cleo Wilson, aged 70, passed away peacefully at her home in Lower Brule, SD, on September 30, 2025.

Beverly Cleo Wilson was born to Harvey Clifford Wilson and Alvina Katherine Driving Hawk/Crazy Bull/Johnson/Wilson on June 14, 1955, in Chamberlain, SD.  She was the youngest of seven children: Aaron Crazy Bull, Mildred Johnson/Banks, Alvin Johnson Sr., Marlene Johnson/Crowe, Audrey Johnson and Ramona Johnson/Wilson.

Beverly had lived in many places in the US throughout her lifetime. Lawton, Oklahoma, Odessa, Texas and Santa Ana, California to name a few. She received many credentials and diplomas, her first being her High School Diploma from Lower Brule, SD in 1975. She went on to college for cosmetology, computer programming and cashier checkers from 1982-1986 in Lawton, OK and was also an honor graduate of the Unified Schools of America in Santa Ana, CA for private security. In 2011, she received a Child Development Associate Credential in Lower Brule, SD.

Her work history was very broad from office jobs, manual labor to technical skills. She worked many jobs to provide for her family. She worked at a steak house for many years, a pizzeria, a vending business fixing juke boxes and pool tables all up to 2007 in Texas. She relocated back to Lower Brule, SD in 2007 and was a Child Care Aid from 2007-2011 at the Day Care, a Teacher's Aide from 2011-2013 and a cook at the KWOTP gas station. She retired in 2018.

She was a kind and gentle soul…for the most part. She loved going to family gatherings, dances, anywhere she could let loose, joke around and have fun. She enjoyed her time with her family, friends and animals. She loved and cared for all her family and friends and cherished every single one of them. Beverly's children and grandchildren were a huge part in her life. She always enjoyed attending their activities throughout the years and was very proud of their talent, awards and accomplishments.

Beverly will be remembered for her sweet voice. She was an avid writer and conversationalist. She loved receiving and sending letters from her pen pals, friends and family. She was a very excited Cowboys fan, on game days you could hear her cheering, or yelling throughout the house. You could almost always find her watching her old western shows or posting and commenting on Facebook.

Beverly is survived by her sister, Marlene Johnson/Crowe; her children, Melvin Jay Tahesquah Sr, Adele Lee Tahsequah, Blanca Francis Jimenez and Vanessa Kathrine Jimenez; her grandchildren, Adriyannah Morning Star Tahsequah, Isaiah Jaden-Michael Tahsequah, Jaylee Tahsequah, Melvin Jay Tahsequah Jr and Milton Tahsequah; her best friends Janice Grassrope and Camella Eagle Thunder/Mund; and several cherished pets who brought her joy throughout her life.

She was preceding in death by her Maternal Grandparents; Henry Driving Hawk and Annie Laroche/Driving Hawk/Wilson; her Paternal Grandparents, William Wilson and Nancy Quilt/Wilson; her parents Harvey Wilson and Alvina Driving Hawk/Crazy Bull/Johnson/Wilson; her brothers Aaron Crazy Bull and Alvin Johnson Sr; her sisters, Mildred Johnson/Banks, Audrey Johnson and Ramona Johnson/Wilson; her daughter Brenda Lee Jimenez; special friends Rebecca "Becky" Ballard/Duran, Adan Flores and Otto Pavlicek; several unforgettable companions who will greet her with wagging tails; and others too numerous to list from her extended family and friends.
