Funeral services for Beverly J. Fredericks, 77, of Mitchell formerly of Chamberlain will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at St. James Catholic Church in Chamberlain with burial in the Riverview Cemetery at Chamberlain.  Visitation will begin Monday at 5:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. rosary/scripture service at St. James Catholic Church in Chamberlain, SD.

Beverly Jean Archambeau was born July 20, 1944 to Pete Archambeau Sr. and Dolly Florine (Hays) Archambeau.  She attended school at Marty Mission Indian School.  Bev was united in marriage to Harvey Fredericks.

She had lived in several places including White Sulpur Springs MT, Wagner SD, Canada, Idaho, and for many years in Chamberlain before moving to Mitchell where she lived until the time of her death.

Bev worked at Mitchell Middle School in Mitchell, SD, Sunset Valley Haven Nursing Home in Chamberlain for 17 years, and retiring from at St. Joseph's Indian School in Chamberlain

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, attending many sporting events of theirs throughout the years.  Bev loved to go fishing and camping, go to rummage sales, crochet, and attend family gatherings.

Bev passed away surrounded by her children and grandchildren on December 28, 2021 at home in Mitchell, SD at the age of 77 years.  Gratefully sharing her life are her children: John Fredericks, Maria Fredericks Eveland, Candace Fredericks, Patty Abdo, many grandchildren, and two sisters Denise Archambeau Rosesales and Colleen A. Medicine Horn.

Preceding her in death were her parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; two sons Harvey Fredericks Jr. and Marvin White Bird; a grandson; a great grandson; and brothers Homer, Peter, James, Mark, and Jerry; and sisters Charlotte, Dorothy, Mae, Dollares, Lisa, and Margaret.
