Funeral services for Beverly J. Clairmont, 48, of Lakewood, CO formerly of Lower Brule, SD at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021 at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule with burial in the Messiah Episcopal Cemetery at Iron Nation, SD.  Wake services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule.

Beverly June (Goodlow) Clairmont was born September 17, 1973 to Katherine (Horn) and Lonnie Goodlow at Community Bailey Hospital in Chamberlain, SD.  Beverly lived her younger days in Lower Brule attending school in the Lower Brule Schools through 1990 and graduating from Flandreau High School in 1992.  She then attended college in Bismarck, ND at the United Tribes Technical College graduating with her first degree in Early Childhood Development in 2004 and then attained a degree in Special Education and Elementary Education in 2008-2009.

In July 1996, Beverly was married to Charles "Chuck" Clairmont.

She worked numerous jobs throughout her life such as med-aide/caregiver at Foothills Assisted Living Center, as a preschool teacher at United Tribes Technical College, and assistant teacher at Acacia Learning Center.  She also worked beside her husband doing roofing.  Her most recent job as Motel Manager at the Mallory Motel came with many hats but she did it what she had to do to meet each task and complete what needed to be done.

Beverly was a proud woman and worked hard to make ends meet.  No matter the struggle, Beverly never gave up.  Everything she did was for her children. She loved being a mother and a grandmother.  She was committed to being there for her children through their ups and downs because her love and devotion to them.  They were her life and purpose.

Beverly passed away on November 1, 2021 at Lakewood, CO at the age of 48 years.  Gratefully sharing her life are her children Kaitlyn, Colton, Larissa, Aspen, Charles, Ashleigh, and Austin; her parents Katherine Horn; sisters Reba, Lonna, Austin Erickson; twelve grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her son Charles James William Clairmont, father Lonnie Goodlow, sister Rosita, grandmother Carol Powers, aunt Mary Louise Horn, and cousins Dana Keckler, Leslie Horn, and Chad Bad Warrior.
