Funeral services for Audonne C. Duran, 31, of Lower Brule, SD will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 16, 2021 at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule with burial in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Lower Brule, SD.  Wake services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the Lower Brule Community Center in Lower Brule, SD.

Audonne Clay Duran "Isnala Mani" (Walks Alone) was born August 3, 1990 in Chamberlain, SD to Shannon Skunk and Ruben Duran. He attended grade school in Lower Brule, SD. He enjoyed playing football for Whittier Middle School of Sioux Falls, SD and he attended Lincoln High also of Sioux Falls, SD. He obtained his GED diploma in 2008 at Clarinda Academy in Iowa.

Audonne had a very unique laugh that was contagious and similar to his mothers. He was very intelligent, caring, and loyal. He was passionate about sports and excelled in every sport he tried. His favorite college basketball team was the North Carolina Tar Heels. He spent most of his years in Sioux Falls, SD where he made many lifelong friends. After many years of being away from home he was finally reunited with his siblings and loved ones shortly before passing on. His family meant the world to him.

Audonne passed away on September 7, 2021 in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 31 years. He is survived by his father Ruben Duran of Sioux Falls, SD; sisters Beulah Duran of Lower Brule, SD, and Seneca Skunk (Kansas Middletent) of Lower Brule, SD; brothers Ezekiel Skunk of Lower Brule, SD, and Everardo Skunk of Lower Brule, SD; grandmothers Irene Skunk of Lower Brule, SD, and Josephine Skunk of Lower Brule, SD; and nieces and nephews Lael, Nathaniel, Jonah, Sage, and Teton Middletent of Lower Brule, SD.

Preceding him in death were his mother Shannon Skunk, his paternal grandmother Inez Duran, his brothers/cousins Clinton Skunk and Derek "Skin" Skunk, and his Aunts Susan Skunk, Beverly Skunk, and Karla "Charc" St Cloud.
