Funeral services for Ardyce F. McManus, 77, of Pukwana, SD will be 4:00 pm Friday, February 21, 2020 at the Pukwana Free Lutheran Church in Pukwana with burial in the Pukwana Cemetery at Pukwana.  Visitation will begin Thursday at 5:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain.

Ardyce Faye McManus was born April 21, 1942 at Mitchell, SD to Willard and Ferne (Johnson) Graves.  She attended Gearhart and Olson country schools and later graduated from Chamberlain High School in 1960.  After high school, Ardyce attended South Dakota State University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics in 1964.  Ardyce was united in marriage to Larry McManus in February of 1966. She made her home in Sioux Falls, SD before moving to Cherokee, IA.  They later moved to Wake Park, MN.  During Larry's military service, Ardyce moved to Germany and in 1968 their twin sons were born.

In the fall of 1968, they returned to the farm near Pukwana and in 1970 their daughter was born.  She remained at home raising the children until starting her job in January 1977 at the Brule County Assessor's Office in Chamberlain.  She retired March 31, 2006 when her health forced her to slow down.

Ardyce loved to paint pictures, sew, quilt, and bake.  During her younger years she enjoyed gardening and later she still enjoyed planting flowers.  She is a member of the Pukwana Lutheran Church, Red Hat Ladies, and Knitting Club.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Ardyce passed away on February 18, 2020 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 77 years.  Gratefully sharing her life are twin sons Brian (Linda) McManus of Chancellor, SD and Bradley (Valerie) McManus of Brookings, SD; daughter Pamela (Dan) Hallman of White Lake, SD; six grandchildren Shania, Sean, Jamie, Devin, Mason, Tyler; brother Gordon (Mary) Graves of Pukwana; and sister-in-law Dianne Graves of Chamberlain.

Preceding her in death were her parents and brother Gene Graves.
