In Loving Memory of Allen D. His Law
May 19, 1958 - May 10, 2026
Allen D. His Law was born on May 19, 1958, in San Diego, California, to Solomon His Law and Pauline Black Tongue.
Allen began his journey to the Spirit World on Mother's Day, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family. Allen is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Joan His Law of Rapid City and Ariel High Elk of Rapid City. He is also survived by his brothers, Solomon His Law Jr. of Germany and Jeff His Law of Sioux Falls; his sisters, Jennifer Wounded Knee of Fort Thompson, Marlene His Law of Sioux Falls, and Mary Beth His Law of Sioux Falls, along with many relatives, friends, and loved ones who will miss him deeply.
Allen attended and graduated from Flandreau Indian School, where he was known as a talented athlete. He excelled in track and basketball and carried that competitive spirit throughout his life. He later attended Utech in Bismarck, North Dakota, where he became a Certified Plumber.
Allen had many passions in life. He was a gifted drummer who loved music and played in a band. In his younger years, he loved riding motorcycles and once rode all the way to North Carolina to visit his sister Jennifer while she was stationed there. He enjoyed traveling, visiting with family, and sharing stories and laughter with those around him.
Allen loved Jesus deeply and carried his faith with him throughout his life. His belief gave him strength through difficult times, and he always appreciated prayer, fellowship, and the comfort of faith.
After moving back home to Fort Thompson, Allen worked various jobs throughout the community. In 2018, he began working for the Crow Creek Housing Authority. He later worked at the local C-Store, where he served in security, janitorial work, and stocking shelves.
Allen was known as a hardworking man who continued to work even while facing health struggles. Though he became very ill in recent years, Allen remained strong in spirit. His passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. The family thanks everyone for their prayers, love, and support during this difficult time.
